The introduction of the new Bumotec S100 makes it possible for our customers to boost productivity in series production by 250% using state-of-the-art production technology compared to using individual machines. This new technology offers a total of eight spindles and four working areas, but takes up no more space than an individual machine.
The various systems also deliver benefits in terms of energy efficiency. The machines from the Starrag Group use up to 20% less energy by feeding energy back into the system during braking operations, switching off compressed air and high-pressure pumps in break mode and making use of heat exchangers.
The jewellery and watchmaking industry places particularly high demands on the quality offered by machining centres. The smallest parts produced from difficult-to-machine materials such as stainless steel, titanium, cobalt chrome and other precious metals must be manufactured to the highest levels of precision and surface quality. Various machining processes such as cutting, turning and boring are all brought together in these machines. To enable our customers to secure a significant competitive advantage, we work closely together with industry to develop our manufacturing solutions, reducing waste by around 15%. This increase in quality is primarily attained through the vibration-reducing effects of the linear drives.
